Denise Jarman grew up in a small Oregon town in the Suislaw National Forest. She came to California to
attend undergraduate school at the University of California Santa Barbara where she received her BA in
French and later attended the Sorbonne. Denise received her JD from the University of the Pacific,
McGeorge School of Law. She is a Candidate for the Chartered Property & Casualty designation. She speaks
English, French and Spanish. Denise has litigated bad faith and medical negligence cases for 40 years. She
has represented insurers, doctors, healthcare professionals, individuals, small businesses, industry and
public entities. Denise has a passion for her work. She has lectured to Judges, underwriters and claims
personnel in the insurance industry and to attorneys on various insurance issues. She has authored articles
on insurance coverage. She regularly participates in round table discussions on trial advocacy skills. She
volunteers with Concerned Legal Professionals of Northern California. In her free time, she enjoys hiking,
gardening, traveling, and spending time with her daughters.
