After an abstract was filed in Alameda County where plaintiff owned real property, plaintiff attempted to sell the real property.  The day escrow closed, the Title Company issued a check payable to the defendant.  The amount included the original judgment and cost award, plus post-judgment interest.  This recovery was the largest amount ever recovered by this hospital, following a successful trial.]]></description><link>http://www.szs.com/news.shtml</link></item>><item><title><![CDATA[Trial Attorney Kat Todd Obtained a Non-Suit in Alameda County]]></title><description><![CDATA[On July 8, 2014, Kat Todd obtained a non-suit in a trial on behalf of County Hospital and four of its individually named employees.  The case involved the provision of outpatient mental healthcare at a Partial Hospitalization Program to an individual who was referred for major depressive order and suicidal ideation.  The plaintiff made a suicide attempt near his residence which he survived, but he suffered a bilateral leg amputation after running in front of an oncoming train.  After plaintiff rested, Kat Todd moved for non-suit of the entire case based on the applicable statutory immunities available within the Government Code for County Mental Healthcare providers.]]></description><link>http://www.szs.com/news.shtml</link></item>><item><title><![CDATA[Trial Attorney Theodore D. The pathologists diagnosed cancer but when additional information became available they changed the diagnosis to a benign tumor and the change occurred after the young woman had received two rounds of chemotherapy.  The case was venued in Sacramento County.
