Brett Schoel

Brett Schoel is a partner with the firm. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and then received his law degree from George Washington University Law School in 1999. Brett is admitted to practice in California Nevada Maryland Virginia and the District of Columbia as well as various United States District Courts.

On graduating from high school in 1989, Brett joined the United States Air Force and spent a year at the Defense Language Institute learning the Korean language. He then spent five years as a cryptologic linguist in South Korea and at the National Security Agency where he authored complex classified documents for personnel at the highest levels of the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Since he joined us, Brett's practice areas include medical malpractice defense and elder abuse. He also teaches an occasional course in business law at the University of California Davis extension program.

A member of the California State Bar Association, Brett is also a member the Sacramento County Bar Association and the Association of Defense Counsel. Brett was born in Paradise, California.

When not in the office, Brett enjoys spending time on outdoor activities including snowboarding, wakeboarding, scuba diving and golfing.
